All our regulars have extensive teaching experience and can guide even the most hesitant student to success in the kitchen. We also welcome guest chefs regularly! Thermomix – Easy midweek dinners

Canapes and Cocktails with Julie Goodwin
Enjoy a night out with a difference! Come along and learn how to make delicious bite-sized delights and enjoy them with a cocktail. In this class you will learn how to make a delicious range of hot and cold canapés – the canapés change each time so come along and see what treats will be coming this time! An Italian Feast with Julie Goodwin
On Julie’s travels through Italy she was thrilled to attend many cooking classes and learn the true heart of Italian cuisine – the respect that is shown to beautiful simple ingredients and the love with which the food is prepared and shared. In this class you will learn to make feather-light gnocchi, amazing pasta, tiramisu, and all the accompaniments and antipasti that make up a true Italian feast. Lebanese Feast with Julie Goodwin
Lebanese food is all about freshness, flavour, and sharing at the table. In this class you will learn to make a mezze plate with treats like baba ghanouj and hommous, as well as home-made flatbread, chicken tawouk and lamb kafta with toum. High Tea with Julie Goodwin
Who doesn’t love a high tea, with dainty edible treats and a glass of bubbles? In this class you will learn to make sweet and savoury bite-sized morsels including the lightest scones you’ll ever try. You will also learn how to make your own tiered presentation stands from mismatched op-shop treasures. A lovely idea for a hen’s night or birthday celebration, after we cook we all share the treats we’ve created with some good coffee, real tea and of course, champagne. 20/20 Meals – with Julie Goodwin
Twenty dollars, twenty minutes. The fast, economical and tasty answers to the inevitable daily question: “what’s for dinner?” This class is about the cooking that we have to do –the day in, day out feeding of our families. It’s about reducing the hassles and the cost, and about providing some ideas that will keep everybody happy. In this class you will be taken through two 20/20 meals and then make them yourself. Pasta Masterclass with Michelle Tournier
This class is all about the pasta – making it from scratch, kneading it, and how to make various different shapes both rolled and hand-formed. You will then learn how to cook it to perfection. Chef Michelle will demonstrate the creation of some classic sauces to go with the pasta. In her lovely, approachable way she will take all the mystery and guesswork out of pasta-making, and inspire you to do it yourself at home. At the conclusion of the class you will enjoy a delicious pasta meal with a glass of wine. You will take home any leftovers, plus the recipes for the pasta and the sauces. Pressure cooker winter warmers with Michelle Tournier
Come along to Julie’s Place for a delicious and warming winter evening. Unlock the mystery of the pressure cooker and create beautiful dinners in a fraction of the usual time. Think of all your favourite slow-cooked dishes – ragus, curries, stews – all achievable in under an hour each. Chef Michelle will teach you the proper techniques, tips and tricks to get the most from your pressure cooker. She will tell you how to adapt pressure cooker recipes to slow cookers, and vice versa. You will also pick up heaps of great tips about cooking ahead and freezing, and buying and cooking in bulk.
Spanish Feast with Julie Goodwin
Fresh, vibrant and full of flavour – these are the characteristics of classic Spanish food. In this class we will create an array of tapas – the delightful finger food served in bars across Spain. We will also make a beautiful Paella and wash it all down with a glass of sangria. You will take home the recipes from the class, a signed copy of Julie Goodwin’s book Gather, and all the knowledge and inspiration you need to host your own Spanish Feast at home. Indian Feast with Julie Goodwin
Indian food can seem a daunting thing to cook, with its long lists of ingredients and specialised equipment. Julie has developed her recipes in a way that tastes delicious but can easily be achieved at home. In this class, we will make all the favourites – bhaji and samosas, curries and condiments, bread and more. We will then enjoy this sumptuous feast with a glass of wine or a cold beer.
