Grazing on antipasti is one of the most delicious, relaxed and enjoyable ways to eat and entertain. In this class you will learn to make all the elements you need to create a gourmet antipasti display. You will learn to make a soft cheese, pickled onions and a seasonal relish, a selection of dips and your own lavosh crispbread to serve it with. You will be shown how to arrange all these delicious goodies on a long board with cured meats, mature cheeses and more to make a display that will knock the socks off your guests. At the conclusion of the class you will enjoy an antipasti lunch with a complimentary glass of wine or beer.

On Julie’s travels through Italy she was thrilled to attend many cooking classes and learn the true heart of Italian cuisine – the respect that is shown to beautiful simple ingredients and the love with which the food is prepared and shared.

In this class you will learn to make a true Milanese risotto with seafood, fresh pasta with a boscaiola sauce, and all the accompaniments and antipasti that make up a true Italian feast.

At the conclusion of the class you will share the sumptuous feast you have created with a glass of wine. You will take home all the recipes so you can recreate the Italian goodness at home.

Who doesn’t love a high tea, with dainty edible treats and a glass of bubbles? In this class you will learn to make sweet and savoury bite-sized morsels including the lightest scones you’ll ever try. You will also learn how to make your own tiered presentation stands from mismatched op-shop treasures.

A lovely idea for a hen’s night or birthday celebration, after we cook we all share the treats we’ve created with some good coffee, real tea and of course, champagne. You will take home the extra goodies, the recipes from the class so you can recreate at home.

When Julie was in Paris her favourite place to eat was Restaurant Polidor. A bistro that served everyone from Ernest Hemingway to the students plotting the revolution, this historic place has truly traditional French fare. In this class you will learn some of the most celebrated dishes in France, from cheese soufflé to confit duck l’orange and crème brulee along with the sides and accompaniments to make this a complete French feast.

Learn to make your favourite fast food so you can make it at home!

In this 2-hour, hands-on cooking class you will make a popular Pizzeria favourite, your own gourmet pizzas. You’ll then sit down and enjoy it with your classmates for dinner.  You’ll take home all the recipes and the confidence to make your favourites, from scratch.

Julie’s Place is a fully licensed venue.  Beverages are available to purchase during the event.

Lebanese food is all about freshness, flavour, and sharing at the table. In this class you will learn to make a mezze plate with treats like baba ghanouj and hommous, as well as home-made flatbread and a variety of hot and cold dishes.

When we have finished cooking we will share the feast, along with all the usual sides and accompaniments. You will leave with all the recipes so you recreate a deliciousness Lebanese Feast at home.

Around one in 70 Australians is diagnosed with Coeliac disease, with another seven per cent reporting gluten intolerance. Dairy intolerance is also on the rise. But there’s no need to miss out on delicious food, or fun cooking classes for that matter! In this hands-on cooking experience we will show you how to make delicious pulled beef with basil pesto, polenta chips and flatbread, and a lush olive oil chocolate cake.</em> And no gluten or dairy in sight! In this class you will make samosas, lamb biryani, butter chicken, naan bread plus all the sides and accompaniments that Indian cuisine is known for. At the conclusion of the class we will share the meal with a complimentary glass of wine or a cold beer.
